Calabarzon police reports 9 deaths due to ‘Enteng’     

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – The Police Regional Office (PRO)-Region 4A (Calabarzon) reported on Tuesday that their search, rescue, and evacuation efforts during Tropical Storm Enteng led to the rescue of 179 individuals and the confirmation of nine deaths and six people still missing.

PRO4A Regional Director Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas said 7,458 families or 30,821 individuals are currently housed in evacuation centers.

“Our teams are actively engaged in search and rescue operations, particularly in communities hardest hit by the storm,” Lucas said. “We are also ensuring the welfare of our police officers residing in these impacted areas.”

He assured the public that the regional police is continuously monitoring flooded areas, to ensure the safety of residents. (PNA)
