Cavite receives Stable Internal Peace and Security Seal    

Governor Athena Bryana Tolentino humbly accepted the Stable Internal Peace and Security (SIPS) Seal during the 4th Quarter Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) IV-A meeting held on November 13 at Twin Lakes Tagaytay. The award, which recognizes the achievement of SIPS status in all 23 cities and municipalities of Cavite, was presented by RPOC Chair and Quezon Province Governor Angelina D.L. Tan, along with DILG Region IV-A Director Ariel O. Iglesia and BGEN Cerilo O. Balaora, Jr., PA of the 2ID of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

The meeting which was hosted by Cavite province was presided over by Governor Tan, and attended by key officials and representatives from agencies responsible for maintaining peace and security across the region, including the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the AFP, the Department of National Defense (DND), the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and various CALABARZON local government units (LGUs).

During the meeting, updates were presented on several important topics, including the

F.E.E.L.S.A.F.E.R Initiative or the Firearms and Explosives from Candidates/ Supporters/ Kins/ Juridical for Safekeeping and/or Disposal, An Effort Leading to Accurate and Fair Elections in the CALABARZON region, and the resolution urging local chief executives, from the provincial level down to barangays, to register or safely keep unregistered firearms with the Philippine National Police (PNP) in preparation for the 2025 national and local elections.

The meeting also tackled protocols for providing food and non-food assistance, as well as policies on reporting affected families and individuals, particularly in light of recent calamities that have affected CALABARZON.

Governor Tolentino assured of the provincial government’s commitment to maintaining peace and security in Cavite and enjoined everyone to work together towards achieving peaceful communities in the region.
