Governor Athena Bryana Tolentino, on Friday, November 15, 2024, led the launch of the provincial government’s Women’s Welfare Program, celebrating women and their multi-faceted role in society. Gathering two thousand women from the City of Carmona and another two thousand from the City of Dasmariñas, the Governor joined the festive gathering and led the distribution of Php 2,000 in cash assistance to the women beneficiaries who belong to the indigent groups from the two cities.
In the City of Carmona, Governor Tolentino was joined by Senator Francis Tolentino in reaching out to Carmona’s women. They were warmly welcomed by 5th District Representative Roy Loyola, City Mayor Dahlia Loyola, and the City Council, who expressed their gratitude for the assistance provided to their women constituents. Mayor Maricel Torres of General Mariano Alvarez was also present to share in the momentous event.
The celebration continued in the City of Dasmariñas during the afternoon leg of the Women’s Welfare Program, where Governor Tolentino was joined by City Mayor Jenny Barzaga, 4th District Board Members Nickol Austria and Jun Dela Cuesta. The gathering of women beneficiaries from the city was filled with excitement and a sense of solidarity, as they received the much-needed assistance.
Governor Tolentino emphasized the importance of empowering women, recognizing their crucial role not only within families but also as drivers of social change and progress. She encouraged all women to continue striving for their dreams and assured them that the provincial government would remain committed to supporting initiatives that uplift women’s welfare.
