Governor Athena Bryana D. Tolentino chaired the 4th Quarter Regular Meeting of the Cavite Provincial Peace and Order Council (CPPOC), Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC), and Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) on November 12, 2024, at Rolle Hall, Cavite State University-Main Campus, Indang, Cavite. A pivotal moment of the gathering was the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for the Stable Internal Peace and Security (SIPS), symbolizing Cavite’s continued commitment to maintaining peace and security.
In her message, Governor Tolentino assured attendees that the directives to sustain peace and order, prevent drug abuse, and end local communist armed conflict would remain steadfast. She highlighted her administration’s commitment to continuing the progress initiated under Secretary of Interior and Local Government Jonvic Remulla.
The meeting also featured presentations of reports and accomplishments from various agencies, showcasing Cavite’s collaborative efforts in promoting a safe and secure environment. BGen Ronald Jess S. Alcudia congratulated Dasmariñas City for earning the Stable Internal Peace and Security (SIPS) recognition and underscored the importance of sustaining and strengthening these achievements. He stated, “Serving the people is serving the government.”
The Armed Forces of the Philippines also awarded a plaque of recognition to the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Cavite for its significant contributions to maintaining peace and stability in the province.
Governor Tolentino further demonstrated her leadership by spearheading the signing of the Pledge of Commitment, and a unity handshake symbolizing solidarity in upholding Cavite’s safety and security goals.
Key officials present at the event included BGen Alcudia, DILG Cavite Provincial Director Engr. Danilo A. Nobleza, Board Member Ram Revilla Bautista, PLTCol. Jerry B. Corpuz of Cavite PPO, members of the Cavite PPOC-PADAC-PTF-ELCAC, local chief executives, representatives, and local chiefs of police.
