Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair: Strengthening Public Service through Partnership and Accessibility

On August 24-25, 2024, the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair was held at Aboitiz Pitch, LIMA Park, Lipa City, Batangas, marking a significant event aimed at enhancing public service accessibility while fostering partnerships among government agencies.

The Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Officer 4A joined the event and played a vital role in making essential civil registration and national identification system services more accessible to the public. Understanding the need to reach the underserved areas, the PSA established a comprehensive Help Desk to address a wide range of civil registration concerns. PSA also offered PhilSys Step 2 Registration, an important part of the national identification system rollout. Additionally, PSA RSSO 4A provided a same-day processing and issuance of civil registry document requests. In total, 385 applications for civil registry documents such as birth, marriage, and death certificates were released, a clear demonstration of the PSA’s commitment to its broader effort to emphasize the importance of civil registration and vital statistics.

Moreover, the PSA RSSO 4A took proactive steps to educate the public by distributing a variety of information, education and communication materials which covered essential topics like the significance of civil registration and national identification system, helping to raise awareness and understanding among attendees.

The PSA’s active participation to the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair alongside other government entities not only provided immediate benefits to the public but also set a strong example of how coordinated government efforts can effectively meet the needs of the Filipino people.
