LUCENA CITY (PIA) – The Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) in CALABARZON is set to open additional testing centers in 2025 to accommodate the growing number of Filipinos taking board and licensure exams.
Reynaldo Cristobal, PRC IV-A Regional Director, stated that the city government of Lipa, Batangas expressed interest in hosting licensure examinations to support the commission’s efforts to bring their services closer to the Southern Tagalog area.
“We are targeting to open additional testing centers in 2025. In fact, the city government of Lipa requested to be considered [as a site]. I have met with the Mayor [Eric Africa] of Lipa City and he signified the intention to host the examination in their city.”
Once operational, the Lipa City satellite office will serve as a venue for licensure examinations for criminologists, nurses, and professional teachers.
Currently, PRC IV-A conducts licensure exams in Lucena City, Quezon, to accommodate examinees from CALABARZON and neighboring regions.
In addition, the PRC IV-A has established service centers in Dasmariñas City, Cavite and Santa Rosa City, Laguna. (PB/PIA4A)
